Tribute & Message From The Family

MILLER, ANGELA DAWN passed away on August 12, 2014 while on vacation in Red River, New Mexico. Angie was born in Dallas, Texas on November 20, 1990 at Baylor Hospital. She was raised with her brother, Joseph in Plano, Texas by her parents, Marshall and Jo Ann. Angie attended Plano East High School and Collin County Community College, and was currently enrolled in courses to become a Yoga Instructor.

From an early age, Angie was an avid dancer, and through her teenage years and young adulthood she continued her passion for ballet. Her broad range of musical talents and interests were self-evident. She was a member of the Plano East Orchestra, and participated in church choir. She played violin and guitar, and had a natural ear for music. She was a supporter of the local music scene, and often sang with local artists and songwriters. Angie loved musicals, and one of her favorite pastimes was to go to the Dallas Summer Musicals with her friends and family.

Angie travelled with the Custer Road Methodist Church Youth Ministry on several mission trips to Crossville, Tennessee, and more recently she toured Los Angeles, New Orleans, New Mexico and the Caribbean Sea.

Angie's greatest gift to the world was her vast heart. Her empathetic nature was rooted deeply in her soul, and she touched the lives of everyone she met. She was always the first to help a person (or animal) in need, even if it meant her own needs would have to wait. She brightened spirits with her smile, and her loving kindness was an example for everyone.

Angie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, David M. Ivy, Sr. and Ivy Helen Ivy. She is survived by her parents, Marshall and Jo Ann; brothers, Joseph Miller, Paul Blanchard and wife, Cheryl; sisters, Dannah and husband, Jim Walter, Tess Cain; paternal grandparents, Red and Carol Miller; aunts, Kathryn Miller and Janet Ivy; uncle, David Ivy, Jr.; nieces, Madison Blanchard and Noelle Walter; nephews, Jameson Walter, Jackson Blanchard; cousins, Matthew Heath and Gavin Ferguson; and many more beloved family and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM, at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas, 75023.

A private graveside service will be held following the service at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.

A Reception and Life Celebration will be held at Rock Creek Event Center, Wednesday, August 20th @ 6:00 PM, 4934 FM 1461, McKinney, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Angela's name to Hope's Door, Inc., http://www.hopesdoorinc.org and Second Chance SPCA, http://www.secondchancespca.org/

Condolence & Memory Journal

Hello this weekend June 2018 I took the trail ride to Goose Lake near Red River. I saw your beautiful cross in memory of your precious Angela. I looked her story up online and wanted to tell you I said a prayer for her and all of her family today, she is not forgotten and never will be. I hope you felt her presence today!

I will never forget that morning you (her dad) came into my clinic looking for my husband (Lane Cross) who was to extract the ATV. I was heart broken for you. My heart ached and I prayed for you so many times through those early days, and even now. Little did I know we would turning our 17 year old son over to the hands of our Father, as you did your daughter, less than a year later. My heart continues to ache with you, but in a different way...in a way that I walk your path now. We continue to pray for your family. In Him, we will walk with them again one day. When I read this, I was so happy to know she knew Christ. It was my prayer in those early days, that Angela knew Jesus as her Savior. How precious it is to know she did. God bless your family and keep your heart and spirit. With sincerity, Jessica Cross.

JoAnn and Family...
Our hearts were immediately saddened at the news of Angie's death, and words are such poor messengers of how we feel for you and your family. We join our thoughts and prayers with a host of friends that love you dearly. And pray that you will know the hope that comes in knowing that you will one day be reunited with Angie.
Peace,
John and Jeanie

JoAnn and Marshall, I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words to describe the feeling of sadness associated with the loss of a child. We are supposed to outlive our children. May you feel the presence of God and his loving peace and comfort as you deal with this tragedy. Your family remains in my prayers. God bless you all.
